What we’re about
Portland Maine Permaculture is a meetup group organized by The Resilience Hub. We are a resource for people who want to regenerate land, grow food, and build community. We strive to create functional examples of thriving local communities and abundant, healthy ecosystems.
Meetup is the tool we use to manage RSVP, photos and comments for more than sixty events every year.
We are about developing solutions, connections, techniques and skills. This group is about learning new skills and sharing your experiences, recognizing that none of us can do this alone.
Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, there is some part of this group that probably makes sense for your life and your relationship to the landscape and community where you live and work. Join us.
We organize skill-shares, workshops, work parties, permablitzes, full permaculture courses, conferences, guest speakers, movie nights, field trips and more.

Permaculture is a system for organizing your toolkit.
Permaculture is applied common sense!

See all- Spring Planting Festival at Mount JoyMt. Joy Community Orchard, Portland, ME
Come out and celebrate Spring at the Mount Joy Plant Swap, Work Party and Grafting Workshop! See bottom of message for an Important Note!
'Tis the season to sow and graft and swap and sing! Join us on May 10th for an All of the Above affair. Things start with the swapping, at 9, followed by planting at 10, then grafting at Noon, and some more planting & other tasks afterwards. Potluck lunch/snacks - bring something to share if you can. We'll sing as we go. Bring plants to swap, any implements good for grafting (and if this is mysterious, just show up with your curiosity, as it's probably the best tool you have anyway), a song, and a willing spirit.
