Annual Permaculture PLANT Swap! All Welcome!

Please join us for our annual PLANT Swap!! By the end of April or early May, hopefully we are getting into the soil and can do some plant divisions, etc. This swap will focus on "all things plant:" Indoor plants, outdoor plants (perennial or annual seedlings), seeds, bulbs, fruit, whatever you've got to share from the plant realm. There will be tons to trade, and lots of great information being passed along. We may also be organizing some skill-shares!

We are going to have tables set up outside (weather permitting), but the indoor space might be part of it too. We look forward to seeing all of you for one of our favorite events of the year!!!

Swap events are free, open to all and have minimal rules. Space may be limited so please take your RSVP seriously. The main idea is that we are stepping outside of the cash economy and mutually "gifting" things to each other in a way that turns whatever we have in abundance into a diversity of goodness and good will.

In the past, people have used the "comments" area of this page to talk about what they think they might be bringing which drums up early interest:)

The only guidelines are:

No cash changes hands.

Don't start the swapping until everyone's there and has a chance to look around at what's on offer (about 15 minutes in).

You can swap with someone or simply "gift" things to each other without taking a return item. Your choice.

You can use and trade "time dollars" if you are a member of the local time bank (Hour Exchange Portland (http://www.hourexchangeportland.org/)).

Make sure you've found a home for all your stuff before you leave (or take home what hasn't been gifted).

This is a social and casual event. Family and kid-friendly. Coffee and tea provided by The Resilience Hub. If you'd like to bring a snack or sample to share, that's great. If you'd like to offer a short skill-share on something you like to do, that would be awesome as well....just email the organizer in advance. If you have flyers or info about other cool things happening around town, bring those for our bulletin boards. Bring business cards to post on our Friends & Members Enterprise Zone wall, too.
