Join the folx at Mt. Joy Orchard for the first workshop/work party event of 2024. The orchard trees have been dormat for a few months now, so it's the perfect time to tend to them so they're set for a good year once they wake up. Pruning is required for most species of fruit trees for them to remain productive, healthy and producing fruit that is easily picked.

Meet by the kiosk on Washington Ave. We will start off with a 1hr workshop on pruning fruit trees, then you can practice your new skills to help us keep Mt. Joy pruned, with several experienced pruners on hand to answer questions. Bring pruning tools if you have them and please dress for the weather. Free and open to all. If you don't need a intro level pruning workshop, but want to help, feel free to show up late!

We will be hosting a rowsing Winter Wassail following this event to invoke a good harvest in the upcoming year!

Rain Date: Sunday, 2/25
