Highlights of Hickory Run - Shades of Death, Hawk Falls & Orchard Trail

Turbit (>2.2-2.5 mph). Medium rare hiker. This is rated as moderate.

We'll start at Shades of Death since this is the most popular and the hardest place to find parking. It's a gorgeous trail. 2.2 mi out and back easier/moderate trail.

Second part, can carpool or drive on your own to the Hawk Falls parking. Orchard Trail which all total will be ~4 mi. This trail runs along Mud Run. It involves elevation and rock hopping. Some of the rocks may have moss and/or are wet.

Please use the pin on the Meetup map for Shades of Death. It was the closest I could get to the parking lot using their map.

Please wear hiking boots/shoes. Poles. Water and snacks.

Will postpone if bad weather.

Animal lover here but this is a human hike only. Please update status before the hike so I know who I'm waiting for. I organize these hikes as a volunteer.
