An estimated 70 to 80% of people in the workforce are considering making a job change at any time. As we turn the page to 2026, we expect to see this rate continue. If a change is ahead for you, join us in discussing factors that will help with your planning. Be forewarned that a job search has many moving parts, lots of crossroads decisions, and many time-consuming steps. Brace yourself against being overwhelmed! Our pointers and answers to your questions will help. We will cover the high points and address specifics as they come up, emphasizing major topics: (1) Prioritizing job types to target for your next position. This involves research and several steps including identifying and analyzing key words. (2) Also covered will be examples of ways to present achievements. (3) Selecting your resume organization, layout, and formatting and following best practices is a big task. (4) In addition, we will address ways to avoid sabotaging your job search. (5) We will round out our theme with Interviewing and Cover Letter preparation, plus developing related supplemental resources that reinforce your claim on your preferred position. We will show examples of resumes designed to emphasize strengths and adhere to industry styles. As always, we will adapt our discussions to the priorities and interests of participants.
Let's inspire and strengthen each other with our insights. The themes that drive resume effectiveness include showing your strengths, emphasizing problems you can solve, and highlighting your potential to add value. You will learn to include challenges you have met and accomplishments that have achieved goals. Attendees typically raise questions about handling work gaps and transitioning to a new industry, new level, new job function, new degree/certification, and more.
