Classic Film Talk: Mississippi Burning (1988)

Details

[UPDATE: due to a much longer than expected hospital stay, I will not be able to host the event. I will leave the event up in case people are still up to discuss the film and anyone who is up to hosting can share a zoom/Google meets link in the comments.]

[UPDATE #2: the event will be hosted by Dylan at the usual time, hopefully the new link I've put up should work properly]

To celebrate Gene Hackman's illustrious career, let's discuss Mississippi Burning, the story of two FBI agents investigating the disappearance of three civil rights activists at the height of racial tensions in the USA of 1964.

Nominated for seven Academy Awards (including one for Gene Hackman), the film also features the great performances of Willem Dafoe and Frances McDormand, among others.

So please join us so that we can chat about this classic.

As a reminder, make sure to watch the movie before the event.
