Retroactive Bytes and Coffee Club

Join us for an afternoon of coffee, conversation, and a little trip down memory lane with fellow tech enthusiasts who appreciate the classics. Whether you're someone who learned to code on a Commodore 64, spent countless hours debugging on dial-up, or just enjoy hearing war stories from the early days of computing, this is your kind of gathering. We'll be meeting in person in Brisbane to swap stories about the machines and languages that got us hooked on technology in the first place.

Bring your curiosity and your favorite nostalgic computing memory – we're keeping this relaxed and informal, so there's no need to prepare anything formal. Some of us will probably talk about retro hardware, others might reminisce about languages nobody uses anymore, and honestly, we'll mostly just enjoy good coffee and good company while geeking out about how far we've come. It's a chance to connect with people who actually get why that beep-boop sound still makes you smile.

If this sounds like your jam, we'd love to have you there. Just RSVP to let us know you're coming so we can make sure we've got enough seats and coffee on hand.

Welcome to the Retroactive Bytes & Coffee Club Launch event! We're thrilled to be gathering in person for the first time to kick things off and meet the folks who share our passion for tech history, programming, and good conversation. Whether you're into vintage computing, retro gaming, classic programming languages, or just enjoy geeking out about how we got here, this is your crowd. Come ready to chat, share your interests, and connect with other people who think it's genuinely fascinating to explore the tech we grew up with.

We'll have coffee, some snacks, and plenty of time to just hang out and get to know each other. There's no agenda beyond enjoying some quality time together and building this community from the ground up. Whether you're a seasoned developer with stories to tell or someone who's just curious about how things used to work, everyone's welcome here.

If this sounds like your kind of event, please go ahead and RSVP so we know how many people to expect. We're looking forward to meeting you.

Join us for an afternoon of hands-on coding and coffee at our Retroactive Bytes and Coffee Club meetup! We're gathering on the Sunshine Coast to work through some practical programming challenges together, share what we've been building, and just enjoy some good conversation with people who get excited about code. Whether you're deep into a project, stuck on a problem, or just curious to see what others are working on, this is a casual space to collaborate and learn from each other.

Bring your laptop and whatever you're working on, or come ready to pair program with someone else. We'll have coffee flowing and plenty of time to chat between coding sessions. No need to prepare anything ahead of time—just show up, grab a seat, and jump in at whatever level feels right for you. This is as much about the community as it is the code.

If this sounds like your kind of afternoon, we'd love to have you there. Just hit RSVP so we know roughly how many folks are coming and can grab enough coffee for everyone.

Join us for Code & Coffee Conversations, a casual gathering for people who love talking about code, tech, and everything in between. Whether you're a seasoned developer, someone just starting out, or just curious about what we do, you'll find friendly faces and interesting conversations here. We'll be meeting in person in Ipswich, so bring yourself and maybe bring a project you're working on if you feel like it—or just come to listen and learn from others.

This is the kind of meetup where there's no pressure to perform or impress anyone. We'll have coffee, we'll chat about whatever's on our minds tech-wise, and we'll probably solve (or at least discuss) a few problems along the way. It's a chance to connect with people in our local tech community and get to know each other beyond the usual online interactions. Whether you want to geek out about a particular language, ask for advice, or just take a break and talk shop, this is the place.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, we'd love to have you there. Just RSVP on this page so we know how many people to expect—helps us plan for space and coffee!
