SPEAKER & TALK INFORMATION:
Talk 1: FFT goes KMP: the Kick, the Mayhem and the Payoff
Kotlin Multiplatform promised us a future beyond Android - and we jumped right in. With familiar tools, we could finally target iOS and Web without starting from scratch. But between missing libraries, unknown ecosystems, and technical challenges, the mayhem was real. Join us as we share the excitement, the chaos, and the ultimate payoff of taking Fulfillmenttools clients cross-platform.
Florian Taute is a software developer with over seven years of experience, specializing in creating user-friendly and inclusive mobile applications. Highly interested in cross-platform development, Florian is an early adopter of Kotlin Multiplatform, exploring innovative ways to deliver seamless experiences across devices. He currently works as a Senior Mobile Developer at Fulfillmenttools building scalable mobile solutions that enhance fulfillment processes. He’s convinced that the secret to clean code is a perfectly brewed espresso.
Artem Perlov is a seasoned software developer with over a decade of experience in programming. He published his first app in 2011 and has been passionate about tackling complex technical challenges ever since. With a background that includes work as a security consultant, Artem brings a strong focus on secure and maintainable code to every project. He currently works as a Senior Mobile Developer at Fulfillmenttools building scalable mobile solutions that enhance fulfillment processes. He’s convinced that naming variables is one of the hardest parts of programming.

Talk 2: Ready or not? Lessons from our KMP Readiness Check at congstar
Can an established Android codebase make the leap to Kotlin Multiplatform? Together with congstar, we explored this question with our KMP Readiness Check to assess technical foundations, library compatibility, and organizational readiness for a multiplatform approach.
The analysis uncovered both promising opportunities and concrete challenges. While Kotlin Multiplatform can simplify shared business logic and reduce duplication, existing toolchains, library compatibility, and integration with iOS workflows still demand careful planning and realistic expectations.
This talk summarizes what we learned: where the real benefits lie, which obstacles to expect, and how to design a realistic path toward multiplatform adoption without disrupting ongoing product development.
Bastian Demuth is Android Developer at Cologne Intelligence.

Talk 3: An iOS Perspective on Kotlin Multiplatform
This short reflection takes a step back to look at Kotlin Multiplatform through iOS eyes. Kotlin Multiplatform has the potential to reshape how mobile teams work together - but for that to happen, the iOS perspective and its concerns need to be part of the conversation.
This talk is an invitation to think about what that means technically, culturally, and collaboratively - and to reflect on where alignment helps, and where diversity still matters.
Konstantin Gaarz is an iOS Developer at Cologne Intelligence with experience in mobile development, UX design, and project leadership. While iOS is his specialty, he maintains a broad outlook on software architecture - exploring cross-platform solutions to enable more efficient, adaptable development. He brings a holistic mindset to his projects, bridging technical execution with strategic thinking and delivering clear, pragmatic guidance along the way. He might not wear a black turtleneck, but he definitely believes in saying ‘One more thing…’ to features that matter.
