Burg Linn (Krefeld), combined with a walk and coffee

Details
Hi everyone, it's getting medieval again! Let's visit the Burg Linn.
We can stroll through the old town of Linn and maybe have a coffee there.
Then, we check out the castle. Afterwards, we can walk in Greiffenhorst Park, which seems nice. Linn is not that big, so we can move things around if we want to.

Let's meet around 10 am at HBF Düsseldorf. I'll publish more infos about the train connection closer to the event.
Entrance fee to the castle/museum is 8 Euros.
About the Burg
Burg Linn in Krefeld originated in the 12th century and was first documented in 1299 as the seat of the free-noble Lords of Linn. It later became a strategic stronghold of the Electorate of Cologne and was expanded into one of the most fortified water castles in the Lower Rhine region. The castle suffered severe damage during the War of the Spanish Succession in 1702, when it was set on fire and eventually abandoned. In the 19th century, the de Greiff family revitalized the grounds, turning them into a romantic landscape park designed by Maximilian Friedrich Weyhe. Acquired by the city of Krefeld in the 1920s, Burg Linn was restored and transformed into a museum complex that today hosts cultural events, exhibitions, and the well-known Pentecost flax market.
