What we’re about
Do you like history and like to meet like minded people to chat about a book, a podcast, a movie, a documentary etc.? Then lets meet for coffee or tea and explore history together. The Rhine-Ruhr area is such an international place and it would be exciting to learn about the history of people's home countries.
These meetings don't have to be academic, it should be accessible for everyone. It's more about getting inspired by the interests of others!

See all- Visit to castle Marksburg (hike)Marksburg, Braubach
Let's visit the Marksburg! It's a bit of a drive but surely worth it!
We can only visit the castle by attending a guided tour (11 Euros). The English speaking tour is at 4 pm.I'll start from Bonn HBF at around 12 and will hike around Koblenz or the castle for a bit. Either you join me from Bonn or we see each other at the castle if u don't have enough time for the castle and the hike.
It's 1/2 hours to get from Bonn HBF to the castle when using public transport. Some infos about the castle from wikipedia:
The Marksburg is a castle above the town of Braubach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is one of the principal sites of the Rhine GorgeUNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortress was used for protection rather than as a residence for royal families. It has a striking example of a bergfried designed as a butter-churn tower. Of the 40 hill castles between Bingen am Rhein and Koblenz the Marksburg was one of only two which had never been destroyed (the other being Maus Castle) and at least the only one that had never fallen into disrepair.[1]
