RIAMH Meeting at Haven Methodist Church, East Providence, Sunday 11/5/23 @ 1PMPM

With the forecast calling for 59 degrees and the yukky winter weather beckoning, RIAMH leader Eich is scheduling the next meeting of our group for Sunday, November 5th 2023 at 1 PM, at our cold-weather meeting place, Haven Methodist Church, 200 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, RI. The meeting will take place in the Youth Room in the basement of the Church.
Our group will be meeting at least one Sunday a month in the conference room of our warm-weather home, the Weaver Library in East Providence and i am keeping my fingers crossed that we can squeeze at least one more outdoor meeting on a God Willing Indian summer day on the picnic tables at Weaver. If the weather is not warm enough in the near future on Sundays to meet outside at the Library we will meet at Haven Methodist and indoors at Weaver for the foreseeable future. Thank you!
Parking for Haven Methodist can be found on Alice Street, a side street off of Taunton Avenue, which is the back end of the church. There will be a sign saying "Parking for Haven Methodist Church" about halfway down Alice Street. I was told that there will be additional parking at the Bank of America parking lot next door as well as at the old Santander Bank parking lot nearby. Be careful when driving along the side streets off Taunton Avenue as there are one-way streets there and I got frustrated driving around them last week (Sufferin' Succotash!).
Once in the parking lot at the back of the Church, proceed to the back door at the right and go down the steps. When you enter the Church from the basement, look for the Youth Room which will be a room which has plenty of sports trophies in it next to the gym. I will be arriving between 12:30 and 12:40 PM to set up the room - and if you wish to help me and arrive early, that would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on bringing a couple of boxes of cookies and if members desire, they can bring a snack and a bottle of water or other drink with them.
