Land Trust Days is a statewide, 2 month celebration of the many special places protected by land trusts. Land trusts across the state host activities to share the special places they are protecting for everyone, young and old to enjoy. These events include guided walks, community festivals, full moon walks, farm tours and a whole lot more.
Please note: some events may require registration outside of MeetUp. Please read event descriptions carefully.
Check out our website for Land Trust sponsored activities. Rhode Island Land Trust Days is a project of the Rhode Island Land Trust Council.
Please note that events are posted to this group on behalf of land trusts across Rhode Island. The members of this group generally do not 'meet up' officially, but rather attend the events as participants. If you'd like to attend with other members, feel free to coordinate in the discussion sections of events.

Join the Charlestown Land Trust and the Rhode Island Land Trust Council on Saturday, June 28th at 10am for a special guided walk to celebrate Thistle—the winning creature of the 2025 #RIWalksChallenge mascot contest!
Hidden along 34 trails across Rhode Island are one-of-a-kind steel sculptures inspired by nature. These “creatures” are part of the #RIWalksChallenge, and Thistle, located in Charlestown, was voted the community’s favorite!
Come explore the scenic trails, learn more about the land trust's property and the #RIWalksChallenge, and see Thistle in person! This family-friendly event is free and open to all, but space is limited. In the event of weather, participants will be notified of any cancellations by email.
