Land Trust Days is a statewide, 2 month celebration of the many special places protected by land trusts. Land trusts across the state host activities to share the special places they are protecting for everyone, young and old to enjoy. These events include guided walks, community festivals, full moon walks, farm tours and a whole lot more.
Please note: some events may require registration outside of MeetUp. Please read event descriptions carefully.

The members of this group generally do not 'meet up' officially, but rather attend the events as participants. Guided tours at Casey Farm

Located by the bay on the ancestral homeland of the Narragansett People, Casey Farm once produced food for local and coastal markets and was one of many plantations tied to slavery. Today, farm managers raise organically grown produce for a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and the seasonal Casey Farm Market. Tour the farmyard to visit the animals, the cemetery where generations of Caseys are memorialized, and the farm house museum gallery featuring family portraits and cultural objects representing all the people of this land.

Our NEW Slow Birding program invites participants to sit quietly and unplug, while being surrounded by the beauty of The Napatree Point Conservation Area. Join Naturalists for peaceful observations, journaling, and wildlife viewing. Participants are encouraged to bring a foldable chair, cozy blankets, and a hot beverage. Binoculars and notebooks are provided.
This program is designed to last 60 minutes so participants can utilize the free parking along Bay Street.
Rain will cancel these events. Program cancellations will be communicated via email.

Self-guided Walking Tours at Watson Farm

Today, this 265-acre working farm is managed using innovative, sustainable practices that continue the tradition of pastoral husbandry, raising heritage Red Devon cattle and multi-colored sheep. Explore this 265-acre property, which today is a sustainable working farm.
During open hours, take a self-guided walking tour on up to 2.5 miles of easy to moderate trails, participate in an outdoor workshop, explore farm fields with grazing livestock, stroll along the shore, and view seasonal farm activities. The farmers grow hay and sell livestock to other farms, and produce wool products available at our farm. The 1796 house, still used as the farmers’ residence, may be viewed from the exterior only.

Ever wondered what it's like to be a wildlife biologist? Join wildlife biologist Bella Villanueva for an interactive program exploring how scientists monitor and study wildlife. Discover the tools used to track animals, watch real trail camera footage captured at Norman Bird Sanctuary, and learn about the research taking place on the property. Then, put your new skills to the test on a guided hike along Red Fox Trail as you search for tracks, signs, and other clues left behind by the animals that call the sanctuary home.
Park in the parking lot and walk towards the welcome center. Signage will direct you towards the studio.
