Tillinghast Pond Behind the Scenes with Queer Hikes

Details
This event has been rescheduled from the 21st to the 22nd due to weather.
The Rhode Island Land Trust Council is posting this event on behalf of Queer Hikes. For this event, Queer Hikes requires that you register directly with them. Registration on Meetup does not confirm your attendance. Please register here.
While we appreciate our allies, this hike is for members of the LGBTQ+ community only.
Join Queer Hikes and The Nature Conservancy for a hike along Tillinghast Pond's less traveled trails. We'll walk up to the old dairy barn, which TNC acquired in 2019, and then stroll out through a series of hayfields, passing three historic cemeteries along the way. After returning to the barn, we'll continue the hike around Tillinghast Pond.
Total distance: 4.5 miles. Difficulty: moderate, for distance and occasional small hills. Restrooms available. Dogs are not permitted.
Tillinghast Pond is TNC's largest nature preserve in Rhode Island. The 13-mile trail system was designed in partnership with the National Park Service and offers a sense of remoteness that is hard to find in southern New England.
