Cumberland Land Trust Labor Day Hike

Please join the Cumberland Land Trust for a 2.5 mile Land Trust Days Labor Day Hike at the Catamint Brook Preserve, our newest preserve.

The hike is rated as moderate+ because of hilly terrain.

Hikers will experience beautiful woodlands, historic stone walls, stream crossings and a walk back into colonial history, as the preserve is very much connected back to the revolutionary war. The preserve is located in a Cumberland Historic District and if you look closely as you drive on Tower Hill Road, you will see buildings dated to the 1700’s.

Young hikers are invited to join us on the guided hike. Though leashed dogs are usually allowed on our trails, in respect to the other hikers, dogs are not allowed on the Labor Day hike.

Because of some rocky terrain along the trails, It is advised that hikers wear sturdy footwear. Hikers should also protect themselves from insects and carry drinking water.

The hike will start from the Catamint Brook Preserve trailhead on Monday, September 7 (Labor Day) at 10:00 am.
