Squantum Woods Hike
Details
We will explore two short trails at Squantum Woods. The first trail winds through an area of ledges and streams that was once part of the picnic grounds of the Metropolitan Park Commission. This trail has been recently reopened by the Boys Scouts. The second trail overlooks Long Rock Cove which is a haven for avifauna and will lead us to the highlight of the walk. The walk is just under two miles in total.
From Providence - Interstate 195 East - Take Exit 1B (Riverside) and follow Veterans Memorial Parkway 2 miles to Squantum Woods (on the right). Parking is limited, please pull all the way into the parking area.
