The purpose of this group is to provide learning and shooting opportunities to photographers in Rhode Island.
You should join this group if you are interested in learning more about photography or if you're interested in taking part in street photography photo walks and model shoots.

Street Photography Photo Walk Series:
Workshop 1: What is Street Photography?
Workshop Fee: $99This workshop and photo walk is for any level of photographer with any camera, including a cell phone camera.
This workshop is all about getting started. We don't need a big city, so we will start at New York Lunch on Main Street in Woonsocket.
Topics:
- What is street photography?
- What are the common styles of street photography?
- What strategies are used in street photography?
- What gear should I use for street photography?
- How do I set up my camera for street photography?
- How do I get over my fear of photographing people on the street?
- Manage your expectations. Street photography is challenging!
Assignment:
Use a strategy you learned to "Capture a Moment".Image Study:
Please edit your images and post images to this page for review. On Monday night at 7 pm click on the meet link I will send you. During this online Meet everyone will get a chance to see and comment on the images.

Workshop Series Collective:This is for participants that want to advance themselves as artists and who take multiple workshops over the course of a year.
- People who attend at least 3 of these workshops per quarter will be eligible to have their images put in a quarterly zine.
- People who attend at least 15 workshops will be eligible to enter a Gallery Show.
- People who attend at least 20 workshops will be eligible to have their images in a yearly photo book or calendar depending on how many people are in this group.
*If any money is made from these displays it would be divided among members of that group.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I expect this workshop to run in almost any weather so please make sure to bring rain protection for yourself and your camera if the forecast shows possible rain or snow.
I hope that these workshops also have a social club-like atmosphere, please feel free to shoot as long as you like and plan to meet for coffee, beer, or food when you're done.

Assignment:
Use a strategy you learned to "Capture an Image that shows one of these strategies for composition".Image Study:
