What we’re about
Welcome to RIWA (The Rhode Island Women's Association)! The purpose of this organization is to provide a supportive social, recreational and educational network for lesbian women. RIWA is operated by an elected Steering Committee and member participation.
The organization solicits a membership fee from women wishing to attend the RIWA dances. If you are a NON-RIWA member, a $ 10.00 guest fee is charged per dance. A RIWA member who has paid their RIWA dues of $ 40.00 can attend all of our scheduled events for free. The money received pays for a private hall and a DJ. Membership forms are available at the dance events.
All dances for this season will be held at the Nelson event space located at Lang's Bowlarama, 225 Niantic Ave. Cranston, RI 02907.
