The Ten Mile River Greenway was built in 2004 to connect Slater Park in Pawtucket to the Kimberly Ann Rock Athletic Fields in East Providence at a distance of 2.5 miles. It is one of the few bike paths in Rhode Island that was not built along a former rail corridor. This means the path follows the natural contour of the land and provides a very scenic ride or walk along rolling terrain on the banks of the James Turner Reservoir.
We will meet @ Kimberly Rock field parking lot. The meet up is located behind the Wolf school @ 215 Ferris Ave. East Providence. This is a very scenic area, woods and water views of Central Pond and Turner Reservoir. There is also a huge swan population that inhabits the pond.
This will be an out and back walk all on the Greenway. As always bring plenty of water and snacks. AGAIN WE WILL WALK AT A QUICK PACE.
