About us
Welcome to the Rhythm Souls Djembe Circle. This group is for anyone who has ever wanted to try hand drumming but was not sure where to start. We focus on creating a relaxed, supportive environment where the goal is simply to connect with the beat and enjoy making music together. You do not need any prior musical experience or a background in drumming to join us.
During our sessions, we walk through the basics of djembe technique, covering how to get the different tones out of the drum and how to keep a steady rhythm. We keep things lighthearted and focus on the joy of playing in a group rather than achieving perfection. If you have your own djembe, please bring it along, but do not worry if you do not have one yet; we have a limited number of drums available to borrow so that everyone can participate. We look forward to finding our rhythm with you.
