This is a small, relaxed coffee meetup for people who enjoy thoughtful conversation about retirement, investing, taxes, financial independence, and the broader life side of retirement.

The group is intentionally limited to 6 people so the conversation stays natural and everyone has space to participate. There is no set agenda. We simply let the discussion flow where it naturally goes.

The reason I started hosting these chats is personal. I took a mini-retirement with my family, and it completely shifted how I think about time, flexibility, money, and retirement in general. After a bit over a year, we ended our mini-retirement so my kids could start their schooling. With a background in finance, I decided to open my own fiduciary retirement planning and investment firm (and recently added taxes to the mix). As I predominantly work solo, I found myself wanting a place where people could have open, thoughtful conversations about both the financial and human sides of retirement. That’s what these coffee chats are about.

Conversation may naturally include:

  • Identity, purpose, time, health, relationships, and how people actually want to live this phase of life
  • Long-term investing and portfolio thinking
  • Taxes and real-world tax decision-making
  • Retirement income and withdrawal strategy
  • Financial independence and life optionality

You do not need to be near or in retirement.

You do not need to share personal financial details.

You just need to enjoy thinking about these topics and hearing how others approach them.

This is a genuine, thoughtful discussion over coffee (or tea!). There is a firm no soliciting rule.
