I’m Stephanie- I’m 34, adopted at age 4, and recently realizing that adoption isn’t just a “fun fact” about me- it’s a foundational part of my story. Over the past few years, I’ve started uncovering some patterns, questions, and long-buried feelings that I probably should’ve unpacked sooner (but hey, growth has no deadline).

I created Richmond Adoptee Collective as a space for adult adoptees to connect, share stories, compare notes, laugh about the weirdly specific adoptee experiences only we understand, and talk honestly about the complicated parts too. This isn’t therapy- just real people, real conversations, and a space where you don’t have to over-explain your origin story.
