Meeting at Ray Breakhall's House - Lot's of DIY and DSP!

Ray has graciously offered to host our February meeting. Please RSVP as early as possible so he can plan for the appropriate number of attendees.

Ray's system has been evolving over a long time and represents his unique approach to home audio. He is also a trained musician, and has some of the best ears around, so the system is tuned to what he hears as a performer at live performances. Please come and hear what it all about.

Light snacks will be served. As per the group's democratic decision in 2024, the meeting will be BYOB (and soda)!

Node 2i streamer
Well Tempered turntable with Rogue Audio preamp
MiniDSP Flex Eight
Amps are a combination of DIY Neurochrome class AB and Fosi class D and Crown class D (8 channels total)
Speakers are DIY – line arrays of planar magnetic, AMT tweeters, dissipative waveguide woofers and 15” subwoofer
The system is tuned with Dirac Live which time aligns all drives, corrects phase and equalizes frequency response resulting in improved impulse response as well.
