Halloween Parade Organizational Meeting and Samba Percussion Workshop

SUNDAY OCTOBER 20 AT 3:30

Calling all lovers of Brazilian culture, dance, and music to march and dance in the 19th annual Halloween Parade on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7:00 PM. The parade is organized by the "All the Saints theater company. This will be the inaugural performance of the "Empire RVA Samba School." the organizational meeting will be on Sunday Oct 20. @ 3:30 PM in Dogwood Dell and should last 15-30 minutes. Come with ideas for a theme for the parade and easy to assemble costumes to go with the theme. Immediately following the meeting we will hold a Samba percussion workshop for an hour. Stay and learn some Brazilian percussion or dance to the beat of Batucada, Samba Reggae and afoxe.
