DATE CHANGED: Richmond Samba Meet, Greet, and Organize

I’m back! Thank you all for your patience while I was away. Life threw me a curveball—a tumor appeared on my lung. Yikes! After 12 weeks of chemo and immunotherapy, I’m grateful to say the tumor is gone. The treatments left me with some lingering side effects, but as fall approaches, I’m feeling stronger and ready to return to something that brings me joy: building a Samba School here in Richmond.
After spending a year trying to organize this project on my own, I’ve realized I can’t do it alone—I need a community. That’s why I’m inviting you, along with your friends, to join me on this exciting adventure into the world of music, dance, rhythm, and connection.
I can’t promise money or fame, but I can promise you’ll have an unforgettable time. If you’re interested in forming a musical social club, learning to play, sing, and dance to Samba and other Afro-Brazilian rhythms, I’d love to hear from you. You can reach me through Meetup, email, or text. Or you can come to a meet & greet event on Tuesday, September 30th at Vasen Brewery in Scotts Addition, 3331 W. Moore St.. from 7:00-8:30 PM.
