Thanksgiving is basically the official reminder to stop, look around, and say, “Wow, things aren’t that chaotic - I should probably appreciate something.” And this year, our Meetup actually gets a chance to put that gratitude into action.

One thing that makes our group special is that we don’t charge our members anything. Ever. We like keeping things open and accessible, even if it means we rarely ask for help in return. But this time, we’re asking for something simple and impactful.

The group of RVA Tech Meetups are holding a challenge to see who can raise the most money for Feed More over the next month. Think of it as a friendly competition with serious impact:

  • Each participating meetup has its own Feed More fundraising page.
  • You can donate whatever works for you: $10, $25, $100,..
  • We’ll compare meetup totals and crown the most generous group- purely for bragging rights, of course.
  • Every dollar goes directly to Feed More to support families across our region.
