Welcome to the Civilian Foreign Service Book Club! The US Foreign Service publishes a recommended book list, current as of 2016. These readings can be of interest for the general civilian who has an interest in foreign affairs, world history, and reading, and/or for someone who aspires aspires to take the Foreign Service Officers Test (FSOT) for their career interests. This book club chooses books and/or news articles and publications the members want to read per this reading list, and discusses them in a philosophy seminar style, seeking to understand, restate, and synthesize the author’s view and main points via our discussion, together chipping away at this reading list.
