Remembering our friend, Abram

I'm writing with some sad news. Our dear friend and fellow member, Abram, passed away in May. I know this may be sudden and difficult news for some, and I am so sorry if this is the first you are hearing of it. Please feel free to message me (David) directly if you would like to talk.
Abram's family and friends are holding a celebration of his life, and as his Meetup community, we are warmly invited to join them to share our memories.
- What: A celebration of Abram's life, followed by fellowship and a simple potluck.
- When: Sunday, August 17th, in the afternoon.
- Where: The Quaker Friends Meeting House, on the lower level.
To honor Abram's memory together, everyone is encouraged to bring simple finger foods and/or a non-alcoholic beverage for the potluck. Filtered water, paper plates, cups and napkins will be available.
The family has also created a space for an "altar of remembrances," so please bring any photos or special objects you'd like to share.
Wear a Hawaiian shirt if you like, as that's how many of us remember Abram!
We envision a co-creative experience, and so far are thinking to include time for sharing memories of Abram in all the ways that his friends and family knew him, as well as brief times of music, prayer, guided meditation and/or silent contemplation, and two or three Dances of Universal Peace, as Abram was a dance leader.
We’ll share fellowship and simple finger foods afterward.
Your help with cleaning up and resetting the space will be much appreciated.
