Last minute change - Meeting at the Innerwork Center
The weather has shifted toward rain, so we are switching locations. We will be at the Innerwork Center at 213 Roseneath Rd. There's free parking on the street or in the lot at the end of the alley. Come in through the front door on Roseneath. We will be in the big room downstairs. Please leave your shoes in the hall. We have plenty of cushions and chairs. You might like to bring a bottle of water.

Meditation will start around 10:35, but if you are late, that's fine, just approach quietly and have a seat.

If you’re using Meetup with a free account and see Meetup+ pop‑ups or can’t message the host, that’s okay—just follow these directions and come to the spot at the listed time. For any questions before the event, please post in the event comments.

What kind of meditation will we be doing?
We'll have a 25-minute silent sit, then optional walking meditation, and group discussion until around 12:30.

What if I've never meditated before?
This is a great place to start. Most people in the group are fairly new to meditating, so you'll be in good company.

What type of people will I be meditating with?
Our group is very laid-back and open minded. We recognize that everyone is on their own individual path, so come as you are and you'll be welcomed.

Do I have to sit still for 25 minutes?
No. If you get uncomfortable, shift your position. You can choose to meditate however it works best for you as long as you respect those around you.

Phone etiquette
Please, silence and put away your phone for the 2 hours during our meeting. Texting or scrolling during the meeting is distracting for everyone and can be seen as disrespectful. Of course if you have an emergency or need to be accessible to your family or job, feel free to step away from the circle to use your phone.

How do I start meditating?
Tara Brach has a perfect introduction here (http://www.tarabrach.com/howtomeditate.html).
