Protecting the Natural Resources at Pine Camp

Details
Come and protect history and the natural resources of Pine Camp by installing a fence where the Black Tuberculosis Hospital used to be. You will be pounding metal T posts into the ground with a post pounder and assembling a plastic fence with zip ties. This will protect the resource from visitors wandering off trail during the Inlight event on November 8-9. You will also get a deep dive into the history of the Black Tuberculosis Hospital from VCU adjunct instructor and PhD candidate Marie Vergamini as you build the fence.
With three people, the work should be accomplished in about an hour, hour and-a-half max. Invite your friends and learn about Richmond history!
What to wear: Outdoor shoes, preferably with hard toe shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Also, bring water and lots of questions.
Marie, who is hosting the event, will have gloves, ear plugs, and bug spray.
Meet Marie by Lolly the Recycling Bear near the Trail Head.
