Philosophy Circle — What Makes a Good Life?
Details
If you could pause for an evening and think about one question that really matters, what would it be?
We’re starting a new philosophy discussion group in Richmond — a relaxed space to step away from everyday life, meet curious people, and have conversations that go a little deeper.
For our first evening, we’ll explore:
What makes a life a good life?
Is it happiness? Meaning? Love? Freedom? Success? Or simply feeling that you’re living in a way that feels true to you?
We’ll begin with a short, accessible extract from Plato, Apology — Socrates on the “examined life”and then let the conversation unfold. You don’t need to have studied philosophy — or even read philosophy before. There are no right answers and no lectures.
Just good questions, open conversation, and curious minds.
Come along, bring your perspective, and see where the conversation takes us.
