This group is for divorced and widowed individuals of all ages in the Richmond area who are looking for connection, community, and a way to get back out into the world — without pressure or expectations.

Whether you’re newly navigating this chapter or it’s been a while, you’re welcome here.

We host relaxed, low-key gatherings designed to make meeting people feel natural again:
• Casual happy hours
• Walks, brunches, and local outings
• Easy conversation with people who understand

No forced matchmaking. No awkward setups. No need to share more than you want to.

Tired of swiping? Meet people face to face, without leaving your couch.

Join Meet Cute Club for an evening of virtual speed dating for Richmond-area singles ages 40-65. You’ll have a series of short one-on-one video dates, 5 minutes each. After each date, you choose whether you’d like to connect with that person. If you both say yes, you’re a match, and we’ll send your matches by email and text after the event.

How it works
1. Get your ticket on Eventbrite.
2. We’ll send your link and a short profile form by email and text.
3. Log in a few minutes early for a quick camera and sound check.
4. Meet your dates one at a time. The system moves you from one to the next automatically.
5. After each date, choose whether you’d like to connect. Only mutual choices become matches.
6. After the event, we’ll send your matches by email and text within 24 hours.
What you’ll need
- A computer, tablet or phone with a working camera and microphone
- A quiet, private space and a stable internet connection
- About 90 minutes
What to expect
It’s relaxed and low pressure. You won’t click with everyone, and that’s fine. Be yourself, be kind and have fun. You can leave any date at any time and return to the lobby to talk to the host.
