Capturing the beauty of dance has always been a passion of mine. We had an epic shoot with a prima ballerina about a year ago. This year we will have two ballerina's to photograph at Dogtown Dance studio. This will be different than the shoot a year ago. We are setting up backdrops and studio lighting, and will be capturing many different looks from classic ballet to modern dance. Our two dancers have a wide range of experiece in dance. Prisca has studied ballet and moden dance for many years. She took a break to have a family. She has done several ballet shoots, and also models. Jennifer has studied ballet most of her life, and now teaches it as well as performing. She's also an actress, and has appeared in several TV shows including "Turn: Washington's Spies" The shoot is $30/photographer to cover the cost of the studio, and the dancers. Tripods and flash will not be allowed. Meetup is limited to 12 photographers. Please only sign up if you're sure you can attend! I'll add photos of the dancers soon.
West End Breakfast/Networking is held on Tuesday mornings at Boychik's Deli near Innsbrook, located right next door to Capital Ale. This is a time to connect with your fellow photographers to discuss what and where you've been shooting and get answers to any photography questions or problems you've been having. Great way to start out your day talking photography! If we finish up early, we could plan head out from there for a shoot. Post any ideas you might have. If you can't get enough of talking photography, you are welcome to attend either group. This will have the same informal feel as Dave's meetup in Midlothian but if you have a specific question to discuss, post in the comments and we'll take care of it. This is a great introduction to RPMG for your friends interested in photography. Bring a guest!
