The 2021 season at Colonial Downs runs for 7 weeks from the middle of July to September 1st. The opening day draw was met with an enthusiastic response from horsemen. A total of 111 horses entered the nine-race pari-mutuel card. Racing at Colonial Downs will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during the 2021 season. Post time for the first race will be at 1:45 PM.
Colonial is happy to announce that general admission remains free and includes access to trackside amenities like the paddock and winners circle viewing areas and tent covered bench seating. A giant temperature-controlled tent has also been positioned trackside and features additional general admission seating, manned and self-serve betting stations, food and beverage concessions and nearby restroom trailers.
Meet us just outside the back doors of the restaurant. We have an enclosed outdoor space with a propane heater to keep us warm while we stay safe. We are the only ones utilizing this space.
West End Breakfast/Networking is held on Wednesday mornings at Boychik's Deli near Innsbrook, located right next door to Capital Ale. This is a time to connect with other members. Great way to start out your day talking photography! If we finish up early, we could plan head out from there for a shoot. Bring ideas for any photo shoots or meetups you might want to have us add.
This is a great introduction to RPMG for your friends interested in photography. Bring a guest!
Please sign up if you plan to attend so that we can have plenty of space to spread out.
Just about everyone loves Sunflowers. So fun to photograph. Here is a festival, the first for this berry farm in Mosley, just for Sunflowers and Sweet Corn. They will be growing in the 15 acres of fields ready to pick and photograph. Hopefully the weather will be nice and everything will be blooming. It's a $12 admission to the farm and you get a free Sunflower bloom with that. A good deal. I thought it would make a great photo meet up. Getting there early at 9am will help beat the crowds, but you can also come later. Hope to see you!
