Photo Walk: James River Pipeline

Details

This is a cool place to get some unique shots. Downtown near the canal walk is a pipeline that is underneath the railroad tracks. It is a very poplar place. Blue herons and egrets can be found fishing there. Also it is a spot where you will find kayakers and tubers challenging the rapids over the rocks. the pipeline itself is cool to photograph. There are some scenic vistas of the James River that can't be found anywhere else; a fabulous place at sunset. We will meet at 5pm at the parking lot at the flood wall at the end of Virginia St. There is a parking fee. We will walk the pipeline and then continue to Browns Island and the Potterfield Bridge, and then back. You can come as long or short as you like. Sunset is at 8:15pm if you want to stay for that if it looks like a good one. Hope you can come out!
