Visit to Beverly Shores Summerfest CANCELLED

i'm sitting on my deck, basically at ground zero for the Summerfest parade route, less than 2 hours before start time, and it's still raining and thundering like a MF, with no improvement forecast till 8 PM.

I've decided to CANCEL the EVENT, as far as our group's participation in it is concerned.

i invite you to join us at the annual Beverly Shores Summerfest, with a silly but cute parade, food and drink booths set up at the beach, and live entertainment.

the Association of Beverly Shores Residents organizes the Summerfest, and the theme they chose for this year is the 70's.

This year, we are giving you the opportunity to ACTUALLY BE THE STAR OF THE SHOW with SUMMERFEST KARAOKE!

Saturday, July 26, starting at 3pm, after the announcement of parade winners, we will start the Beverly Shores Summerfest 2025 Karaoke! With a library of over 55,000 songs (mostly from before 2015), you can sing just about anything you want. Bring in Back Up Singers! Dancers! Air Guitar Instruments! Your act is limited only by your imagination. Fabulous prizes will be awarded by our Star Search judges.

there is no fee or registration for this event, but bring along some cash for the refreshment booths at the beach.

we will park at the train station, then walk up Broadway, and meet as a group at the southwest corner of Broadway & Marne, to view the parade together, then proceed up Broadway to the Lake.

you may use the restrooms at the Depot, or at the Marathon station, before walking toward the beach, or at Lakeview Beach down at the lakefront when you get there.

arrive for parking at 1:30 CT; 2:30 ET

if you arrive late, just walk north on Broadway to the festival and look for us. to recognize me if we haven't met, i will be wearing a faded blue hat that says "GREECE" on it. you may also call me at 773-415-0428.
