Brown County Hike, & maybe Lunch at the Story Still Tavern & Grill

note: i'm including this hike mostly for our members in the Lafayette-Terre Haute area.

just wanted to make sure you know that if you're coming from the Indiana Lake Michigan shoreline, this is a good 3 hour drive. location is in the Eastern time zone.

Dear hiking friends-

Join us for a hike in scenic Brown County. Today we will hike the Nebo Ridge Loop, with a distance of 6.1 miles and an elevation gain of 672 ft. This loop will take us along the Nebo Ridge Trail, a moderate hike through the Hoosier National Forest. Highlights of this trail include the beautiful pine forest and rolling hills. Anticipate getting your boots wet, as we will be walking part of this trail near a creek bed, and may have some shallow water crossing. Downed trees may need to be climbed over/walked around as well.

After the hike, anyone that wishes to join the group for a late lunch is welcome at the Story Inn Tavern & Grill https://storyinn.com/ . If you haven't been here before, it feels a little bit like stepping back in time. Good food too, from what I remember.
