Lunch at Bridges Waterside Grille, and Games on my Deck

for anyone who comes late but hasn't met me, i will be wearing a blue hat that says "GREECE" on it.

we invite you to join us for lunch at Bridges Waterside Grille http://bridgeswatersidegrille.com/ , 508 E. 2nd St, Michigan City, IN 46360, 219.878.0227 , on the riverfront at Trail creek, next to the historic rail swing bridge currently serving Amtrak, and featuring a menu of sea and land fare, and a large variety of beers.

every time a train goes by, closing the bridge is an entertaining show worth seeing.

to make things run more smoothly, I strongly recommend that you have enough cash to pay the bill: some restaurants don't like splitting up credit card charges.

we try to get separate checks when possible, but if not, just figure what your order cost (don't forget beverages, desserts, and your share of appetizers), add about 1/3 of your total for tax and tip, and contribute it to the pot.

If you have a coupon you’d like to use at this or any other dinner, please check with me first. If I have a coupon for the whole group to use, and there is a limit of one per table, the group coupon will take priority. If not, feel free to use yours.

a special guest at this event will be Tom, longtime friend of my family and me, visiting from Arizona.

after lunch, we will return to my house for games and refreshments on my screened-in back deck. i will be serving my celebrated Michigan cherry meatballs. if anyone wants to bring dessert, snacks, or wine, feel free ... but no obligation.

afterwards, i don't have a beach trip planned, but if anyone wants to remain parked at my house to visit the beach, go right ahead.
