dear friends--

our group has enjoyed live music in many ways through the years, through house concerts, attending concert events, karaoke, etc. i invite you to a new kind of participatory music event, Circle Singing.

my wonderful neighbor, Theresa, whose lovely home we have visited on several Garden and Art Walks in the past, is organizing her own meetup group to participate in Circle Singing, and has invited us to join her.

here is a description in Theresa's words--

"Circle Singing is an empowering, joy-producing way to sing in community. There are no words, no set melody. Everything is improvised on the spot by our wonderful facilitator, Patti Shaffner. With Circle Singing, you don’t have to be a “singer” and you can’t make mistakes!

Layers of sound create beautiful spontaneous harmonies and counter-melodies. It’s true magic!"

she holds her events at

Barker Hall
600 Franklin Street
Michigan City, IN

because the space is rented, we ask for a donation to cover the cost.
a $10 minimum is suggested, but we don't want that to be a barrier against anyone's attendance, so please give what you can.

hope we will see you there
