Join us for a taste of yesteryear for a fall celebration at Chellberg Farm at the Indiana Dunes National Park! Look for me inside in the living room at 1pm. This event is open house style, so I'll do my best to introduce members and you can explore the farm and the barn as a group, in small groups, or on your own. I will be volunteering helping visitors make clove apples in the living room. Feel free to join in!

The forecast calls for rain that day, but the farmhouse and the barn will be open for demonstrations by volunteers in old- timey garb. If the weather clears up, we can make the short trek to the Bailey Cemetery and the Bailey Homestead around 3pm.

There is ample parking on the south side of the farm, just as you enter off 20 and Mineral Springs Road. You will need an NPS pass, but for first time offenders without passes, just a warning is given. For more information, please see the following link: https://www.nps.gov/indu/planyourvisit/fees.htm

Let's keep an eye on the forecast, and go from there. Either way, most activities will be indoors, but come prepared with adequate foot wear for a muddy short hike if the opportunity presents itself. I look forward to seeing you then! -Eileen
