*AMENDED DUE TO WEATHER:
Let's meet at the front porch of the Farmhouse at 2:45pm, pictured on the cover photo of the event. There is a flood watch effective until 1pm. The farm house and barn will be open for demonstrations and interaction with rangers and volunteers, who are very knowledgeable about the history of the homestead and the way of life back in the mid 1800s, when the Baileys ran a fur trading post, and the Chellbergs a dairy farm, among many other endeavors, at this site. The history of the native Potawatomi who inhabited the land when European settlers arrived at this site remains understated. You can learn about them here:

The rain is supposed to stop this afternoon, so we'll take the Bailey/Chellberg trail to the Bailey Cemetery, back to the Bailey homestead, and then we'll return to the farm for the Save the Tunes concert! Be ready to get your shoes muddy and bring your water and bug spray.

Parking is ample at the lot south of the Farmhouse off Mineral Springs Road and 20. You'll need a NPS pass, first time offenders without a pass receive a warning. See this link for more info. https://www.nps.gov/indu/planyourvisit/fees.htm.

I look forward to seeing you there! -Eileen
