Welcome to Ride the Carolinas: Piedmont Throttle Society — a community of motorcycle enthusiasts from all experience levels who share a passion for the open road, good company, and safe riding. Whether you’ve been riding for years or you’ve never sat on a bike before, you’re in the right place.
Our mission is simple: Ride together, learn together, and enjoy the Carolinas’ most scenic routes — from the Piedmont to the mountains to the coast.
Who We Are
We’re a friendly group of riders who love exploring North and South Carolina’s highways, backroads, and hidden gems. Our members range from brand-new riders to seasoned road warriors. Everyone is welcome — all makes and models too!
If you’re new to riding, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered.
We’ll help you:
Learn the basics of motorcycle safety and operation,
Get connected with local training resources to earn your motorcycle endorsement.
Connect to motorcycle rentals for ride events
Gain confidence before buying your first bike — with tips, guidance, and support from experienced riders
What We Do
We host a variety of events throughout the year, including:
• Monthly Meet & Greets: Connect with fellow riders, share stories, and plan future adventures. These meetups are also perfect for those with little or no riding experience to learn more about motorcycles, licensing requirements, safety, and how to get started on their riding journey.
• Monthly Group Rides: Explore scenic routes through the Carolinas with riders of all experience levels.
• Charity Rides & Community Events: Give back while doing what we love.
