Come roll some dice, meet some fellow adventurers, and help us begin a new D&D story in Riga. (join even if the event is full, just message me)
This is the first gathering of our new Riga Dungeons & Dragons group. Experienced players and complete beginners are equally welcome. The goal is to play D&D, have some drinks, meet people with similar interests, and hopefully build an ongoing group of friends and adventurers.
This won't be a one-shot. We're starting a story that can continue from Meetup to Meetup with whoever sticks around for the journey.
### How the evening will work
We'll meet at 6:00 PM and spend a little time getting to know each other, sorting out characters, grabbing drinks, and getting everyone comfortable.
Then we'll play for roughly three hours. Afterward, anyone who wants to stick around for another drink, talk D&D, or just socialize is very welcome to stay. I know I will.
### Don't have a character? No problem.
I'll have several ready-made characters available. Pick one you like and we'll customize it to make it yours.
If you'd rather create your own character from scratch, we can do that too.
And if you're already excited about joining us, message me before the Meetup. I'd be happy to work with you beforehand on your character, backstory, or ideas so you can arrive ready to play.
That's completely optional. You can also walk through the door at 6:00 having never touched a d20 in your life.
### Become your character
We'll also have a little D&D character portrait studio going.
We can take your photo and use AI to turn you into your character. Want to see yourself as an elven wizard, dwarven fighter, tiefling warlock, or something considerably stranger? We'll make it happen.
You'll get your digital character portrait to keep afterward.
### And you'll need some math rocks...
I'm bringing new sets of D&D dice as a welcome gift for the first six players who RSVP and attend.
If these are your first dice, cool! I'll have pleanty more to share but the gifts will be limited.
### Our first adventure
Because this is our very first Meetup, we're going to see where it takes us.
Six players? Perfect.
Three players? Small but mighty adventuring party.
Twenty people? Apparently we've started something, and we'll figure out how to make it work. (we will need extra DM's in that case)
No experience required. No character required. No dice required.
Just come ready to meet some people, throw some math rocks, and start a story.
