Scala meetup_Day 1

Dear Riga Scala Community,

Join us for a free Scala Meetup hosted by Evolution Engineering on March 30.

Our colleague, a top-notch Scala engineer Oleg Nizhnikov, has prepared a topic to further enhance your understanding of Scala.
This meetup is sure to pique the interest of Scala Bootcamp participants as well as anyone involved in Scala programming.

• Topic: Сlose Look at Scala Collections (Scala Bootcamp extended materials).

This lecture provides an overview of the scala-collection standard library. You will learn how to implement several new collections and make them compatible with the standard collections using common mixins. Additionally, you will discuss the type-driven magic inside the trait hierarchy. The lecture will help you understand how the current implementations of Vector and HashMap can have complexities they claim to have using hand-made examples of simplified FingerTree and Prefix Tree.
