GenAI is reshaping our ways of working. Therefore, we are inviting you to the next event that will be held in a hybrid mode (Accenture Riga VEF office and online session, link to online session will be added later).
We will have 2 topics:
Certifications - Shaping your Profile with AI, Testing & Practical Skills (by Richard Seidl)
Playwright Test Agents: GenAI-Powered E2E Testing - Revolution or Hype? (Jevgenijs Cuvirovs)
Abstract: Certifications - Shaping your Profile with AI, Testing & Practical Skills
Are certifications still relevant in the age of agility and AI? After 25 years of experience in software development and testing projects, my answer is clear: yes. Current curricula and training programs address much more than just dry theory. They focus on practical skills, testing methods, and the beneficial use of AI.
Bio:
Richard "Richie" Seidl is a Software Testing Expert, Agile Quality Coach, and Podcast Host. Over the past 25 years, he has encountered a vast array of software throughout his professional journey: from the good to the bad, the large to the small, the new to the old. He's experienced software so magnificent it could bring one to tears, and others that make one cringe.
Richie has helped teams and projects in various industries, such as administration, finance, automotive, and logistics, to improve their software quality, implement agile testing, and establish test automation.
Richie is the author of several books on software testing, the host of a Software Testing podcast, and an international keynote speaker. In 2025, he was awarded with the German Prize for Software Quality.
Abstract: Playwright Test Agents: GenAI-Powered E2E Testing - Revolution or Hype?
Playwright Test Agents introduce a new approach to E2E test automation by using GenAI to reason about applications and dynamically generate executable tests. This session explores how agents work, the problems they address, and their relationship to traditional scripted tests. Through practical examples, we’ll explore how GenAI can support test creation, application exploration, and failure analysis. Attendees will see what the technology can (and can’t) do today, helping them experiment and assess its fit for their own projects. By the end, participants will understand the capabilities and limits of Playwright Test Agents and decide for themselves: revolution or hype in GenAI-powered E2E test automation?
Bio:
With over 13 years of experience in IT, Jevgenijs Cuvirovs has contributed to more than 10 projects in test automation, test management, full-stack development, and custom solution development. He has helped teams design and implement scalable testing strategies, develop robust and maintainable test automation frameworks, and ensure software meets high standards of quality and reliability.
Jevgenijs is particularly focused on how AI can help software development and testing teams work faster and more effectively, while enhancing the quality of the final product across the SDLC and STLC. He draws on real-world experience to provide practical perspective on the opportunities and limitations of new technologies.
The event is organized in cooperation with LSTQB, iSQI and Accenture.
