Monthly Meetup | How to make hardware startup building "less hard"

Details
First up, Jānis Putrams, co-founder & CTO of Aerones, will tell the Aerones story, how they started with an industrial heavy lift drone, went through the YCombinator accelerator found the wind turbine market opportunity and completely changed their technology solution to come to the startup they are today. Aerones raised a $30M funding round co-led by LightRock and Haniel in January 2023 and today serves all the world's largest wind turbine operators with projects across Europe, the USA, Latin America, and Australia.
Second, Andris K. Berzins, co-founder and board chair at TechHub Riga as well as a partner at Change Ventures, the fund that backed Aerones and Giraffe360, will moderate a panel discussion to discuss hardware startup experiences in overcoming the challenges that make hardware "hard". How to speed up product iterations? How to find early working capital to fund capital investments? How to find investors that are not afraid of hardware?
Joining Andris will be:
- Janis Putrams, co-founder and CTO, of Aerones
- Agris Ķipurs, co-founder of AirDog, an auto-follow action sports drone that was acquired by [Alarm.com](http://alarm.com/) as well as a new stealth startup building drones for military use.
- Atis Hermanis, CEO of HackMotion, a maker of wearable sports products for golf and other sports.
- Matīss Neimanis, Managing Partner at BuildIT, a hardware accelerator and seed fund.
We will open up for Q&A so the audience can pose additional questions for the panel.
After the keynote and panel, we will have networking - meet other startup founders, engineers, and marketers interested in building the next hardware success stories!
