What we’re about
If you are new to the area or would just like to meet some quality girlfriends that you can go out with, spend time with, and laugh with, then this group is for you!
We are a group women in our 20's & 30's who've either just moved to the DC area or are just looking to explore new and familiar places with new/soon-to-be-familiar friends.
Our events typically revolve around going to dinner, wine tasting, brunch, happy hours, movies, exploring DC or any other activities that sound like fun.
Members are encouraged to suggest and/or arrange meetups.
Note From the Organizer:
I decided to step up as organizer because I've been part of this group for a couple years, I think this is a good group and I have an amazing circle of friends that I've made through Meetup. I would like to keep this group active and have multiple events per month.
Our membership is over 1,100 right now, so there would most likely be someone else interested in something you are interested in. There are so many events going on in DC- festivals, concerts, new restaurants, there are also Groupons/Living Social deals to take advantage.
Please let me know if you have an idea or would like to host an event.
We currently have a lot of no shows and late cancellation, so I have updated the RSVP Policy. I realize that other things do come up and you can’t make it, but please be considerate and respectful of other people’s time and update your RSVPs ASAP.
Let’s continue to have fun, make new friends, explore the area and make this group an amazing success!!!
RSVP Policy:
We want to keep this group active and fun! If you can’t attend, please update your RSVP and let the organizer know ASAP.
If you RSVP Yes, please do not to cancel the day of the event. We may have a number of people on the Wait List, and it’s not fair that they can’t come because you didn’t update your RSVP sooner.
If you RSVP "Yes" to the meetup but do not show up, you will be identified as a "No Show".
Changing your RSVP on the day of an event without notification is just as bad as not showing up.
A call or text is the most considerate way to handle last minute plan changes, so please keep the event host informed.
Person may be removed from the group for repeatedly being a “no show”.
