2nd North Star Tournament

Welcome to the 2nd North Star Tournament, the club tournament of Peicha Hamburg!
We will play a Riichi tournament according to the club standard rules, which is based on the EMA tournament rules with slight deviations. Each Hanchan will last for 90 minutes. The exact format of the tournament will be announced later on our website depending on the total number of players.
!!! This event is not for beginners !!!
We expect the players to have a sufficient level of basic knowledge of the Riichi mahjong rules, such as but not limited to:

• Building a winning hand
• Identifying and building Yakus
• Important basic strategy (e.g., Riichi, Furiten, Uma system)

You do not have to know the exact scoring. Scoring sheets will be provided at the table.
The winner of the tournament will be the Mr./Ms. Peicha 2025!

Willkommen im 2. Polarstern Turnier, dem Clubturnier von Peicha Hamburg!
Wir spielen ein Riichi Turnier nach der Clubstandardregel, die grundsätzlich von der EMA-Regel abgeleitet mit kleinen Abweichungen ist. Jedes Hanchan dauert 90 Minuten. Das genaue Format des Turniers ist abhängig von der Teilnehmeranzahl und wird später auf unserer Webseite angekündigt.

Wir erwarten ein angemessenes Niveau an Grundkenntnissen der Riichi-Regel, zum Beispiel:

• Eine Mahjong-Hand bilden
• Yakus identifizieren und bilden
• Wichtige Grundstrategien (z.B. Riichi, Furiten, Uma System)

Die Fähigkeit, Punkte auswendig zu kalkulieren ist nicht nötig. Ein Zettel für Punktabrechnung wird zur Verfügung stehen.
Der Sieger*in des Turniers wird Mr./Ms. Peicha 2025!
