What we’re about
Purpose & activities
Friendship group for “women of a certain age” (around 45-65, but flexible) in the Cambridge (UK) area, inspired by the BBC TV series of the same name.
Introduction and informal discussion (including ideas for future events) to be held on Wednesday 19 November from 7pm at the The Fort St George (on Midsummer Common by the River Cam).
Who should join?
Anyone interested in meeting new friends at a similar stage of life; potentially dealing with work demands, adult children, elderly parents, creaking joints, absent partners and/or dating & relationship issues, and/or the feelings of invisibility & lack of purpose that may come with being a woman of 50-odd.
As one synopsis concludes, the programme is testament to “the resilience of women who refuse to be silenced by age or expectation” and this is the spirit that I am trying to channel with this group.
Fees
Group is free to join and no fees charged for attendance at events. Expenses (e.g. food & drink consumed) payable as incurred.
