Our program welcomes FinTech start-ups to receive feedback from our guest mentors. Our mentors include individuals from around the FinTech community and have expertise in marketing, legal, business development and other fields to accelerate start-ups’ growth.

April Mentors

Antony Bream - has spent 30 years in B2B software and the past 15 years working closely with FinTechs as they start, scale up and pivot their journeys of growth with a unique combination of business advisory, commercial consulting and executive mentoring.
As founder of ribbit consulting he helps founders and their teams position themselves and their businesses to make the leap to the next level as they grow their companies to success.’

Ian A Neale - has an over 25 years of high-level experience in the luxury travel and service industry. He has spearheaded the expansion of numerous leading brands and operated in a leadership role, both developing and managing teams across multiple disciplines, producing award-winning results.
Throughout his career, Ian has demonstrated considerable skill in creating value and implementing cutting-edge operational and business development methodologies. He prides himself on having created innovative technical and commercial solutions for numerous prestigious clients. He possesses a wealth of expertise in both the online travel and luxury HMW sectors. Ian has further acquired a unique insight into luxury and specialist travel trends, especially within the UHNW and corporate sectors.

John Stewart - joined NatWest in 2011 as Head of Strategic Outsourcing initially responsible for major outsourcing deals and strategies for managing the bank’s multi billion third party spend.
He relocated to Silicon Valley to establish the bank’s first innovation outpost. The outpost’s mission was to connect with the new world of start-ups and understand how to use that ecosystem to help improve the way the bank served its customers and solved some of its problems. In addition, this was an opportunity to create an education programme to influence senior leaders and show them different ways of thinking.
In 2017 John was appointed to his current role and is now responsible for scouting teams covering UK & Europe, Israel and the Far East and The Americas. In addition, John manages the research team who have a key role in briefing the Board and ExCo on the progress and impact of Disruptive Technologies and creating a wide range of briefings and educational material for use across the bank and its customers.
John has heard thousands of start-up pitches and has successfully deployed many start-ups into NatWest.
In his career John has worked almost exclusively in Financial Services as either a Consultant with KPMG and IBM or as an employee at TSB and Barclays in senior roles. John is a member of the UK R&I Digital Economy Programme Advisory Board, an adviser to a small Silicon Valley Venture Capital firm, and the Board Observer for NatWest’s investment in Quantum Computing Company 1QBit.

Keith Robinson - the Chairman of Technology Investment Banking for EMEA & Senior Advisor Principal Investments.
He has 22+ years of experience in the software sector including in technology investment banking, technology stratagy, operating, consulting and software investing.
Prior to joining Barclays, Keith worked at Lamond Capital Partners, Arma Partners and most recently at Sage Group as the Chief Strategy Officer and a member of the Executive Committee.
Keith has a Bsc in Economics from Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from INSEAD.
Deep domain knowledge of the software industry with a strong track record of investing, operating and advising successful software businesses across the US and Europe.

Kimberley Waldron - An award-winning marketer and entrepreneur, with 15 years in the Financial Services industry, Kimberley hosts the popular Future of Banking podcast, co-chairs the Pro Manchester Fintech committee and is an industry advisor for Salford University’s MSc in FinTech.
In 2009, Kimberley Co-Founded award-winning Fintech PR agency SkyParlour. SkyParlour delivers PR campaigns that ensure its international payments, banking, cybersecurity and eCommerce clients can be seen improving the world around us.
