Lughnasadh Ritual

Lughnasadh (pronounced LOO-nə-sah) signifies the start of the harvest season and the abundance of the first crops. It is a Gaelic festival, usually celebrated on August 1st, marking the beginning of the harvest season. It is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals, honoring the Celtic god Lugh and recognizing the first fruits of the harvest.
